Jorge Meraz (above, right): Host/Director of "Crossing South"

Jorge grew up in Tijuana and has visited San Diego all his life. He learned English early by watching American TV through the “rabbit ears” and ironing out his accent. Jorge was a TV Reporter and sports anchor in Tijuana for TV Azteca during the 1990s. In the 2000s he worked in creative copywriting for ad agencies before handling PR for private companies. In 2010 he directed the Emmy award winning documentary “Visa Dream.” He is the director of CENTURION5 productions, a published singer/songwriter on iTunes and Spotify under “Jorge Meraz,” composed the country album “My Highs & Lows” by Randy Redmon and is a zealous Star Wars fan.

Steven Javitz (above, left): Producer of "Crossing South"
